Last week we brought you a story about Nokia’s development of an unlimited downloading program. In the mean time T-Mobile has adopted a similar system in its UK network.
T-Mobile boasts that its first album download will be free. Also, whenever a user renews of upgrades their contract they will be given a subsequent free album credit. But unfortunately for consumers any other albums they access will incur a charge. However, at present the cost is quite small, around 6 pounds per album.
To speed up the process and ensure consumer happiness, the T-Mobile system uses a 3G network whenever it’s available. Using this system a full download can take less than a minute.
T-Mobile has currently bought the rights to more than 100,000 albums ad has about 1.2 million total singles for users to choose from in its library.
