Sleep Texting or just Tired Eyezzzzzzzzzz

The Star newspaper has reported that there is a startling increase in the number people sending text messages in their sleep. The article, published last week says that message boards and blogs worldwide are being filled with posts about people texting with their eyes closed and their brains turned off.
IN THEIR DREAMS!
The Star claims “Increasing numbers of cellphone users are reporting on blogs and message boards that they are sleep texting; sending text messages to their friends while asleep.”
Rubbish. Scientists and sleep professionals disagree completely. Technically anyone asleep is incapable of sending text messages. At the recent Nortel Media conference in Toronto, medical, sleep and health professionals all agreed that the “phenomenon” has never been heard of.
While the Star claims that it’s a sign of the times, a natural extension of Generation Y’s reliance on text messages for communication, sleep professional refute the claims wholeheartedly.
