Hannah Montana could Rubber Up for LifeStyle

American condom manufacturer LifeStyle has reportedly offered Disney’s 15 year old Miley Cyrus over a $1 million to represent their brand. The representational change has been motivated by a dramatic increase in teenage pregnancy statistics since the introduction of abstinence-only sex education across the country. If she takes on the brand she will follow celebs like Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias into the world of contraceptive marketing for LifeStyle.
"Pop culture proves that teens are more ready than ever to discuss the subject of sex," said Carol Carrozza, the company's VP of marketing. "We believe that Miley is both influential and relatable to this afflicted set, and is the obvious choice to get the message of safe sex out to teens across America."
Despite denials from the teenager’s management, who have said that no offer has yet been made and any future one would be declined, Carrozza says that the company would provide Miley with a lifetime supply of the contraceptive for “whenever she decides the time is right.”
The Disney star’s clean image has been dirtied of late after a provocative Vanity Fair photo shoot and a series of compromising images of her appeared across the web. Pundits have speculated that the starlet could go the way of predecessors Spears and Lohan.
Celebrity news recently has preferred to focus on the end of the “Hannah Montana” dynasty. The show is set to end shortly and Cyrus is already moving towards a music career, with her first album, “Breakout” currently being recorded.
"It's like if no one shows up, as Hannah it's okay, it's a little bit better. If no one shows up, as Miley I'm like, 'Okay this is really going to hurt,' because these are songs that I've written that are really important to me and things that I want to say."
This is just the latest attempt by her management to distance the actress from her alter-ego. "We're thinking this is our last season," she said, even though Disney renewed the show for a third season earlier this year.
"I just think we did a lot of episodes," she said. "We basically did two seasons in one last year. Usually people would do one season that would be, like, 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes! . . . It seems like it's been on, like, longer."
"Miley said it best when she said she's delighted to be part of the Disney family," a Disney rep was quoted by E!Online as saying. "We start production on the third season of Hannah Montana on August 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that. We look forward to the Hannah Montana feature film coming to a theater near you in Spring 2009."
