9 out of 10 People find Mobile Marketing Intrusive

A study by VOX Marketing has revealed that more than one third of mobile subscribers might be susceptible to mobile advertising. More than 25 percent of respondents said they had been exposed to the marketing method in the last 30 days.
Nielsen says that over half can vividly recall a specific mobile ad. But interestingly over 90 percent feel that it is an invasion of privacy.
"Increasing levels of consumer recall, interaction and receptivity to mobile advertising reinforce the validity of the mobile marketing medium," said Jeff Herrmann, VP of Mobile Media at Nielsen Mobile.
